Nannie Jane Swallows, 80 of Edinburgh, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence. She was born on July 29, 1937 in Knifley, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Lidge and Mary (Bidwell) Coffey. She married John D. Swallows. She is survived by her husband; sons, Mitchel Swallows of Carlisle, David (Venus) Goff of Franklin, James (Tammy) Swallows of Taylorsville, Charles Goff of Edinburgh and Jack (Glenda) Coffey of Cairo, Georgia, daughters, Christine Bryant, Margaret Swallows (Jessie Simpson), Judy (Carl) Chandler and Rosie (Rick) Rowland, all of Edinburgh; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brothers, Romer (Geraldine) Coffey of Russel Springs, Kentucky and James (Peggy) Coffey of Edinburgh, sisters, Polly (Eugene) Rooks and Betty Rooks, both of Edinburgh; and best friend/BINGO sister, Katie Gross of Edinburgh. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Donnie Goff; brothers, Hobert, Junior, Robert and Verle Coffey, a sister, Mae Burton; and a son-in-law, Dewight Bryant. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing BINGO, shopping, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 by the Reverend Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be held on Tuesday, August 15 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church and from noon until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
