Wilma Jean Spicer, 66, of North Vernon, died at 8:29 a.m. October 23, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Wilma was born April 10, 1951, in Franklin the daughter of Chester Ray and Opal Gladys McElroy Wagaman.She attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the Moose. She loved cooking, sewing and traveling. Wilma also loved the time she spent with her family and completing word search puzzles. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Survivors include her companion, Dwain East of Columbus; a son, Darrien (Edith) Montgomery of Owensboro, Kentucky; daughter, Lisa Wright of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Randy (Juliann) Wagaman of Morgantown and Clarence (Jerri Smith) Wagaman of Greenwood; sisters, Teresa (Samuel Farmer) Jenkins of North Vernon and Phyllis (Clifton) Wenger of Columbus; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Ray Wagaman; mother, Opal Gladys Black; stepfather, Glen Black; brothers, Donald, John, William and James Wagaman; and a sister, Elizabeth Black.
