Marilyn J. Parks, 60 of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away January 9, 2018 at Dekalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne.  She was born June 10, 1957 in Shelbyville, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Beryl and Althene (Phelps) Turner.  She married Tim Parks on July1, 1977. She is survived by her husband, sons, Paul T. (Jennifer) Parks, Jr. of Marion, Indiana and Jonathan A. (Nichole) Parks of Kettering, Ohio, daughter, Kimberly (Corey) Dooley of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, grandchildren, Jordan L. Parks, Clarissa D. Parks, Michael Parks, Zoie Parks, Riley Dooley, and Randy Dooley, brothers, Gerald Wayne (Kathy) Turner of Whiteland, Indiana and Michael Glenn “Buddy” Turner of Hope, Indiana, sisters, Joyce Ann Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary A. (Steve) Gaskins of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marsha Kay (Gary) Goforth of Perkins, Oklahoma, Rebecca Sue Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Teresa Marlene Hart of Franklin, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Lee Turner. She was a member of the Marion Bible Holiness Church in Marion, Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, and cooking. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 by Reverend Mark Dodrill at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana.  Calling will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the church and from 11:30 AM until time of service on Saturday.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
