Karen Jean "Little Red" Sears, 45, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at her residence in Edinburgh. She was born Dec. 8, 1967, in Franklin to Betty Jean (Ford) Sears of Edinburgh and the late Carroll L. Sears. She is survived by her children, Jeremiah Benjamin Jones of Edinburgh and Charles David Knoblaugh Jr. of Franklin; six siblings, Stoney (Brenda) Sears of Flat Rock, James Kastings of Hot Springs, Ark., Sonya (Larry) Rager of Silver Lake, and Doris (Don) Jeffries, Tanya Sears and Carol Sears (Steve) Wright, all of Edinburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, daughter and sister, who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed biking, the outdoors, reading, movies and collecting Indian things. Karen will be missed greatly by many but never forgotten. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edinburgh Wesleyan Church, 500 Clay St., Edinburgh. The Rev. Larry Biddle will officiate. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made in Karen Jean Sears' memory in care of Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh, IN 46124. Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.
