James E. Warner, 91, of Columbus, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his residence.Mr. Warner was owner of Warner Construction and enjoyed spending time with his family and raising cattle. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.Funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.Born in Columbus March 28, 1922, Mr. Warner was the son of Lonnie Warner and Nellie Bailey Warner Hauser. He married Evelyn Faye Miller Nov. 16, 1940. She preceded him in death  Dec. 13, 2002.Survivors include a son, Dale (Kathy) Warner of Columbus; a brother, John (Judy) Warner of Columbus; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, James Douglas Warner; his stepfather, Thane Hauser; brothers, Sam, Max, Lonnie, Harry and Bobby Dale Warner; and sisters, Charlotte Godsey, Mary Anderson and Pansey Waltz.
