Kristin McKinney passed unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in Franklin, IN. She was a resident of Indianapolis.Kristin Ann McKinney was born December 16, 1965 in Indianapolis, IN to Robert and Jacqueline (Dolen) McKinney, who preceded her in death. She was a 1984 graduate of Franklin Community High School, in Franklin, IN, where she was a varsity cheerleader and played tennis. She received an associate certification in nursing. She was currently employed at S&R Resources where she worked as a recruiter. Outside of work her passion was singing. She was the lead singer for the band RocKandy for the past three years with Trish Akers. They played many venues throughout the State of Indiana including the historic Slippery Noodle Inn. She is survived by her siblings Amy McKinney McIntyre and Doug and Cindy McKinney. She was extremely close and proud of her niece and nephews, Brett McKinney, Anderson McIntyre, Jeremy McKinney, Ian McIntrye and Olivia McKinney and the love of her life, her dog Teddy Bear. She is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at Peace. There will be a memorial/celebration of life service at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, IN on Saturday, August 3. Calling will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the service at 12:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
