Robert Jack Lewis

Robert Jack Lewis, 84 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away December 19, 2020 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born November 15, 1936 in Marian County, Indiana. He was the son of Lucille (Fraker) Lewis. He married Shirley F. (Long) Lewis on February 18, 1959 and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1985.He is survived by his sons, Tony (Tammy) Lewis of Edinburgh, Indiana and Gary D. (Lana) Lewis of Edinburgh, Indiana, four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, Mary Jane Lewis of Edinburgh, Indiana, brothers. Jim Lewis of Perry, Georgia, Jerry (Judy) Lewis of Franklin, Indiana, and Ronald (Marcia) Lewis of Morgantown, Indiana, and sisters, Betty Rice of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia (Wendell) Campbell of Franklin, Indiana, and Barbara Pogue of Whiteland, Indiana.He was preceded in death by his mother, wife, brothers, Henry Lewis and Richard Lewis, and sister, Shirley Lewis.Jack served in the Indiana National Guard for eleven years. He was a member of the Southern Indiana Tractor Pullers. He worked for Kenny Shirley Heating and Cooling in Whiteland for twenty-five years. He was co-owner of Lewis Heating in Edinburgh. He enjoyed tractor pulls, flea markets, helping people, and sitting at the Liars Table in Lil Bertha’s restaurant in Edinburgh.Due to Covid-19, a private family funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Terry England at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
