Bill Stafford

Bill Stafford, 83 of Leander, Texas passed away October 9, 2020 at his residence. He was the son of Charles and Mary Stafford. He was married to Mary Louise Talbert and had a daughter, Shannon Stafford, who preceded him in death, and a son, Richard Shane (Sandra) Stafford, who survives. He married Stella Stafford in 1969 and they had a son, William Charles (MaryBeth) Stafford, who survives. He is also survived by his wife, Stella, three grandchildren, Courtney, Nathaniel, and Hannah, five great-grandchildren, sister, Evelyn Johnson, and her daughters, Terri Eagler and Teddi Sofoul, and many other nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Dickie Stafford and Benny Stafford.

Bill graduated with honors from Edinburgh High School in Edinburgh, Indiana. He attended Fuller Theological Seminary where he took courses in missions and made mission trips overseas. He graduated from Indiana University and taught briefly at Columbus High School in Columbus, Indiana before entering the marketing field. He started a business in Michigan with partner Bill Mainwaring. In 1982 he started Pacific Corridor Marketing Group in southern California. In 1992 he went into the brokerage business as a stock broker. He retired at age 80.

My husband of 50 plus years died just over a year after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He spent nine months of that time under hospice care. We will miss his presence but we know that he is thriving with his Lord, Jesus.

A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
