Ruby McGaha M-F-18-4

Ruby (Warren) McGaha, 87, of Nineveh, Indiana, stepped into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus on April 28, 2022, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ruby was a precious gem to all who knew her just as her name implies. She was born August 11, 1934 in Knifley, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Clyde and Delta Jane (Burton) Warren. She married Eugene McGaha on February 20, 1953 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2011.

Ruby showed unconditional love to all her children who survive; son, Vernon “Bernie” (Gina) McGaha of Nineveh, Indiana, daughters, Karen (Richard) Million of Franklin, Indiana and Leisa (Layman) Boyd of Nineveh, Indiana, grandchildren, Corey (Kim Logan) McGaha, Curtis (Mel) McGaha, Derek (Chasity Patchon) Million, Whitney (Corey) Meyers, and Logan Boyd, great-grandchildren, Vivee Rea McGaha, Dawson Dale McGaha, Ava Meyers, Cole Meyers, Connor Meyers, Sophia Million, Luke Million, Anthony, and Laelah, brother, Bobby Joe (Shirley) Warren of Kissimmee, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Rosetta Huber Rhude and Rachel Metcalf and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruby was a faithful servant of Christ and was a charter member of the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana, where she served many years as an adult Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and fellow members of Nineveh Senior Citizen Center. She retired in 1996 from Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana where she started as a licensed practical nurse and later became an echocardiogram technician.

She enjoyed spending time with her family,  especially her grandkids, traveling, crossword puzzles, reading, house cleaning, and cooking for her family.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Bailey at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S Main Street. Calling will be from 2:30 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 1, at the church and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
