James "Jimmy" Burton M-F-109-3

James R. “Jimmy” Burton, 92 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away June 18, 2026, at his residence. He was born August 13, 1933, in Adair County, Kentucky and is the son of Sally Jane (Burton) Harmon. Jimmy is survived by his brother, Joe (Marilyn) Harmon of Columbus, Indiana and his grandson, Steve (Amanda) Louden of Edinburgh, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, Jesse W. Harmon; son, Greg Snider; daughter, Kim Coy; brothers, Rufus Cowan, Whimphry Burton, Darrell Burton, Billy Harmon and Wallace Harmon and his sister, Connie Campbell. Jimmy served in the US Air Force and was member of the American Legion Post 233 for 66 years. He had attended the former Assembly of God Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. He enjoyed mushroom and rabbit hunting, fishing and walking through Camp Atterbury. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM by Pastor Randy Denton on June 22, 2026, at Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana. Arrangements by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.
