Richard Dale Snepp B-O-25-3

Richard Dale Snepp, 64, passed away at his residence in Franklin surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born on December 27, 1954 in Franklin to Ransom Dale Snepp and Martha Louise (Dake) Snepp. Richard married Beth (Henderson) Snepp on August 11, 1990. She lovingly survives. Other survivors include their sons, Rob (Elizabeth) Snepp of Edinburgh, Michael (Megan) Snepp of Franklin, James (Olivia) Snepp of Evansville, and William Snepp of Franklin; father, Ransom Dale Snepp; sister, Linda (Greg) Wilson; nieces, Laura and Kristen Wilson; two grandchildren, Riley and Carter Snepp and two grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Martha Louise Snepp. Richard was a 1973 graduate of Whiteland High School and a 1986 graduate of the Law Enforcement Academy. He was a lifelong farmer. He worked in law enforcement for 18 years. He retired from Clark Pleasant School where he was the head diesel mechanic for 15 years. He enjoyed tractor pulling. Working was his hobby. Richard was a member of Community Congregational Church. Pastor Dan McLaughlin will conduct a celebration of Richard’s life on Friday, March 8th, at 10:30 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 7th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Johnson County, 3827 N. Graham Road Franklin, Indiana 46131, or to the National FFA Organization, 6060 FFA Drive Indianapolis, Indiana 46268-0960.
