Albert B. “Dude” Cox, 81, Edinburgh, IN. passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at Four Seasons Retirement Center, Columbus, IN. He was born November 20, 1932 in Edinburgh to Albert M. & Mary E. (Botts) Cox. He married Myrtle (Nichols) Cox and she survives. Other survivors are a son Tim (Tina) Cox of Martinsville; daughters Melody Cox of Perry, FL. And Dawn (Matt) Campbell of Franklin; granddaughters Amber Farricker and Kate Campbell; 5 gr-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents and a brother George R. Cox. He was a 1951 graduate of Edinburgh High School. He was a member of the former Edinburgh First Christian Church, then attended the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle Church. He was a member of the Edinburg Masonic Lodge #100, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis; Murat Shrine Temple; order of the Eastern Star; Columbus Elks Club 520 and Moose Lodge. He served 12 years on the Edinburgh Community School Board and 3 years on the Edinburgh Town Council. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Molly, fishing and mushroom hunting. He owned Hoosier Veneer in Trafalgar until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Fine Hardwood Association, serving as president for several years. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, IN. with Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Calling will be Wednesday 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
