Earl “Freddie” Taylor, 88 of Edinburgh. Indiana passed away at his residence on December 10, 2019. He was born May 16, 1931 in Layfette, Tennessee. He was the son of Howard and Lillie Mae (Cox) Taylor. He married Patsy (Stokes) Taylor on August 1, 1953. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Audrey (Harvey) Whitaker of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Donnie (Jeanine) Lucas of Edinburgh, Indiana and Darrell (Jami) Lucas of Hope, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Madelyn Lucas of Edinburgh, Indiana and Lillianne Lucas of Hope, Indiana, brothers, Richard (Donna) Taylor of Edinburgh, Indiana, Roger (Deloris) Taylor of Bloomington, Indiana, and Ellis (Lola) Taylor of Edinburgh, Indiana, sisters, Lanna Miller of Edinburgh, Indiana and Violet Lee of Edinburgh, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Bethel May Taylor of Edinburgh, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerald Taylor and J.C. Taylor. Freddie retired from Arvin Automotive in Franklin after 40 plus years of service. He also owned Taylor’s Bait Shop in Edinburgh for many years. He was a member of Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church, a 50 plus year member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge 107, Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by Reverend Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and form 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
