What will the Electric meter deposit cost?
Residential customers will pay a $200.00 deposit, Non-Residential customers will pay a $600.00 deposit, and Three-Phase Commercial Service customers will pay a $2,000.00 deposit.
Why do the Severe Weather Sirens sound every Friday morning at 11am?
The Severe Weather Sirens are tested weekly on Friday at 11am. If severe weather is a threat for that time, the test will be postponed.

Can I put out large trash items to be picked up?
Effective March 1, 2022 - Rumpke will collect up to four large items per month. Items will be collected the third week of each month on your scheduled service day. Large items include furniture, appliances, mattresses and box springs. Upholstered items must be wrapped and sealed in plastic prior to collection.
How do I get utility service put in my name?
You need to come into the office, fill out a service application, pay a meter deposit and bring photo identification.
Who do I contact to have utility lines (water, sewer, electric) located before I dig on my property?
You will need to contact Indiana Underground at 1-800-382-5544 two days before you dig. You can also go to their website at www.iupps.org
What payment options are available for the utility bills?
Many options are available for payment, including automatic draft, online payments, mail, debit or credit card. Cash payments can also be made by visiting the utility office. If you have difficulty paying your bill you may contact the utility office prior to disconnection date to set up payment arrangements.
