Joseph R. Miller M-A-94-8

Joseph R. Miller, 81, passed away Wednesday evening, May 9^th, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at the St. Francis Hospice House. He was a proud resident of Franklin. He was born on October 11^th, 1936 in Edinburgh, Indiana to Chloras (Davis) Miller and Jesse Miller. He married Betty Jo (Long) Miller on September 21^st, 1957. Joe is survived by their two daughters, Suanne Chastain (Robert) of Greenwood and Amy Palmer (Bruce) of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Audrey Chastain Moore (Aaron), Robert Joseph Chastain, Joseph Perry Palmer and Allison Claire Palmer and one brother George Brent Miller (Barbara) of Cary, Illinois. He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Betty Jo and two sisters, Beverly Shriver and Anna Barker. He attended Edinburgh Community Schools. Joe was an Electrician. He was employed by PSI of Indiana, retiring after many years of service. He was a member of the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205 and the Franklin Elks Lodge No. 1818. Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and telling stories with his family. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, May 12^th at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Friday evening, May 11^th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
