Ruth Halcomb Goldsmith, 77, Edinburgh, IN. passed away Thursday November 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 12, 1938 in Fletcher Co., KY. To Clay Engle and Octava (Gibson) Engle. She married Alex Halcomb in 1953 and he preceded her in 2004; she then married Dwight D. Goldsmith in 2006 and he preceded her in 2014. She is survived by sons Gregory A. (Donna) Halcomb, Edinburgh, Paul David (Dana Camp) Halcomb, Columbus, Matthew Wayne (Michelle) Halcomb, Seymour; daughters Sharon R. (Mark) Clem, Morgantown Octava Diana (Pat) Finley, Franklin, Rita G. (Gary) Rhoades, Columbus; stepsons David D. (Barb) Goldsmith, Edinburgh, Donald S. (Melissa) Goldsmith, CA, Christopher O. Goldsmith, Edinburgh; step-daughter Sherry M. (Daniel) Lewis, Franklin; sisters Flora and Dora, Cincinnati, OH; (15) grandchildren, (13) step-grandchildren, (14) great grandchildren and (3) step great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husbands, (2) brothers and a sister. She was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church, Edinburgh, IN. she enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, singing, sewing and quilting. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 by Rev. Lewis Burton at Who So Ever Will community church, Edinburgh Calling will be 3 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the church and 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Who So Even Will Community Church, c/o of funeral home.
