Steven C. Davers, 70, North Vernon, IN. passed away Sunday November 29, 2015 at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus, IN. He was born April 30, 1945 in Freetown, IN. to Robert Davers and Beatrice (Stafford) Davers. He married Janet Romaine (Scott) and she preceded him in death August 31, 2013. They were married for 27 years. Survivors include sons Mark A. (Debbie) Goodin, Terre Haute; James D. Davers, Jonesville; Damon D. (Shelly) Davers, Vernon; daughters Deborah K. (Marino) Caraballo, Greenwood; Lynetta K. (Michael) Porter, North Vernon; sisters Charlotte (Leon) Ross, Seymour and Margaret Lawson, Brownstown; grandchildren Cody O. Goodin, Nathan T. Goodin, Nichole M. Goodin, Michael S. Porter, James O. Porter, Autumn D. Booth, Kacy D. Supple, Riley E. Canner, Anthony M. Caraballo, Amanda D. Caraballo, Noah J. Davers, Camron L. Davers, Damon D. Davers 11, Jordan (Cassidy) Horth, Steven C. Davers 111, Emily Deckard; (9) great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, wife, son Steven Davers Jr.; grandson W. Levi Miller; preceded by brothers Robert Davers, Jack Davers and Jimmy Dean Davers. He was a member of Baptist Chruch, North Vernon, IN. and a US Army Veteran. He retired from Rock Well Automotive, Columbus, IN. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, farming, attending to his cattle, and he supported several charities. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, IN. Calling will be 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh, IN.
