Alice A. Thompson, 72, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away January 10, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Born August 11, 1943, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Stanley K. and Irene (Cookson) Carson. She married Donald E. Thompson January 28, 1961. He preceded her in death September 10, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Terri (Mark) Lunsford of Columbus and Beth Thompson of Edinburgh; sisters, Patty Cox of Columbus, Sandra Love of Columbus and Kim (Brett) Hearne of Columbus; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She enjoyed working word-search puzzles, watching "Law and Order" and collecting Boyds Bears. She loved animals. Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Lewis Burton at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
