Fena J. Thompson, 79, Edinburgh, IN. passed away peacefully with family by her side Saturday January 23, 2016. She was born August 9, 1936 in Shelby Co., IN. to Harry Duckworth and Vinnie (Snyder) Duckworth. She married Lowell R. Thompson and he survives. She is survived by sons John M. (Dana) Hodson, Columbus and Scott E. Crabtree, Indianapolis; daughters Pamela (Jeff) Fodge, Martinsville; Susan (Ron) McClain, Indianapolis; Diane (Bob) Gard, Demote; Kelli (Steve) Zeilinga, Knightown; sisters Judith Bardy, Indianapolis; Donna (Howard) Young, Needham; step-mother Myrna Duckworth, FL., Half-brother Bob Duckworth, FL. Half-sister Susan Gutierrez, FL.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and Sister Roberta Tearman. She was a 1954 graduate of Mt. Auburn High School; member of Jollity United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society and Home Ec. Club, Franklin. She retired in 1997 after many years working for Kroger’s in Franklin. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spending winters in Florida. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 28, 2016 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home 302 E. Main cross St., Edinburgh, officiated by Rev. Lewis Burton. Calling Will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburg, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o funeral home.
