Earl Dean Neville, 74, of County Road 450E, Columbus, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis. Earl was born April 12, 1942, in Johnson County, the son of William Frank and Myrle Miller Neville. He married Dorothy M. Wilhelm July 22, 1961. Earl retired as a tool maker from Cummins Engine Company after 33 years of service. He was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge No. 150, Bartholomew County Shrine Club and Hawcreek Conservation Club and had served on the Ceraland Board of Directors. Earl enjoyed many things including golfing, playing and umpiring softball, volleyball, playing cards, games and bowling. He also loved fishing, boating, mushroom hunting, hunting and trap shooting. Earl's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their activities. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; son, Brian (Judy) Neville of Danville, Illinois; daughters, Dena Sanders of North Vernon, Brenda (David) Lutz and Kim Martin, both of Columbus; brother, Maurice (Phyllis) Neville of Greensburg; sisters, Lois Wainscott of Shipshewana, Indiana, and Marjorie (Roy) Robbins of Greensburg; grandchildren, Jordan Walters, Matt Sanders, Breanna Thompson, Andy Lutz, Taylor Neville and Franklin Sanders; and great-grandchild, Layne Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Russell Neville, William "Bill" Neville, Dwight "Merrill" Neville, Bernard Neville and Donald Frank Neville.
