Elmer E. Boilanger, 85, of Edinburgh, died at 11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. Boilanger was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed collecting matchbooks and pencils, playing cards and board games, gardening and hunting. He was a member of Indiana Farm Bureau. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Kirby Rupp officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Born in Bartholomew County May 4, 1925, Mr. Boilanger was the son of Albert and Ida Stillabower Boilanger. He married Eva F. Newton Oct. 2, 1954. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Boilanger of Edinburgh; a daughter, Sandy (Keith) Fox of Columbus; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark L. Boilanger; a brother, Floyd Boilanger; and sisters, Florence Anderson and Lucille Stillabower.
