Arnold Burton, 74, of Edinburgh, died at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at his home. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Whosoever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive in Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Mr. Burton is survived by his wife, Elnora Burton; sons, Maxie (Vickie) Burton and Galen (Susie) Burton, both of Franklin, William A. “W.A.” (Shelley) Burton and Mark D. Burton, both of Edinburgh; daughters, Cathy A. (Jimmy) Weathers of Franklin, Marilyn (Randy) Carter of Bloomington and Marianne Adock of Edinburgh; brothers, Luther Burton of Taylorsville, Jerry (Diane) Burton of Edinburgh and Clifford (Lena) Burton of Columbus; sisters, Eva Cook, Linda Orff and Geraldine (Carl) Giles, all of Edinburgh; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
