John J. Cotton 84 of Indianapolis, passed away Sept. 8. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was owner of Quality Mechanical, Inc. and J.J. Cotton, Inc. He was Lifetime Member of Plumbers and Steam fitters Union local #440. Mr. Cotton was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Fortunately, he was a survivor when his ship the U.S.S. Walke hit a mine in Korean waters. During his later years he found enjoyment in his gardening which was a passion of his. He was known for his love of life, kindness and generosity, he will be missed dearly by family & friends. He is survived by sons John R. Cotton (Linda), Richard W.(Ed), daughter Mary "Dee" Williams (John) grandchildren Christine M. Williams & Brian M. Fletcher, sister Phyllis A. Bowser, niece Susan bowser, great nephew Jarod Bowser and ex-wife and mother of his children, June Marie Cotton. Services, 11 A.M. Tuesday, September 14 at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Road with visitation 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday Sept. 13. Burial in Edinburgh, In. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
