Rubie M. Gosch, 87, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Edinburgh. She was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Bartholomew County to the late Forrest B. and Mammie (Wright) Oaks. She married Kenneth W. Gosch on Oct. 11, 1945. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda J. Gosch and Theresa (Stephen) Thomas, both of Edinburgh; a sister, Wilma Oaks of Edinburgh; a nephew, Jack (Terri) Chastain of Franklin; three granddaughters, Shay (Tracy) Kindred and Dawn Buchanan, both of Edinburgh, and Monica (Chad) Park of Franklin; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Ann Gosch. She was a member of Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker who enjoyed keeping in contact with people. She faithfully called homebound people. The Rev. Doug Wright will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh is handling arrangements.
