Patricia Anne Kelley, 84, of Shelbyville died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Born Oct. 10, 1926, in Columbus, Ind., she was the daughter of Harry and Mabel (Gilmore) Phillips. She married Paul E. Kelley in 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1991. Survivors include sons, Michael Dennis Kelley of Greenwood and Gary Allen (wife, Kathy) Kelley of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law Teri Kelley of Knightstown; brother, James (wife, Darlene) Phillips of Brownstown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas Richard Kelley Mrs. Kelley had lived in this area since 1953. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1945. Mrs. Kelley had been employed by P.R. Mallory as a clerical worker for 28 years, retiring in 1986, and as a CICOA site manager at the Shelby Senior Center for several years, retiring in 2001. She was a founding member of Shelbyville Community Church, where she was a member of the Seasoned Senior Bible Study Group. Mrs. Kelley loved crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles and reading. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Brad Davis and Robb Springer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelbyville Community Church or American Thyroid Association in care of the funeral home.
