Nolen Leon McQueary, 77, of Columbus, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. McQueary was retired from Como Plastics and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed his family, gardening, fishing and tinkering with cars. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh with Elders Roy Motsinger and Mike Chastain officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the donor’s choice of charities. Born in Columbia, Ky., Feb. 9, 1933, Mr. McQueary was the son of Alvin W. and Ethel Burton McQueary. He married Eleanor Wilson Sept. 3, 1960. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Steve (Rosemary) McQueary of Indianapolis and James McQueary of Columbus; sisters, Margie (Curt) Hovey of Crossville, TN, and Linda McQueary of Nashville; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle and Noah McQueary. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert McQueary.
