Virginia (Flinn) Tharp, 81, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, at Franklin Meadows nursing home in Franklin. She was a lifelong resident of Johnson County and a member of Greenwood Christian Church and Union Christian Church in Franklin. God played an important part in her life.She was born April 25, 1927, in Johnson County to Paul and Nellie Flinn. Survivors include a son, Paul Andrew (wife, Lynn) of Kanab, Utah; two daughters, Karen Louise (husband, Matthew) of Pacifica, Calif., and Linda Dianne (George Edward Sheffield) Tharp Herr of Boerne, Texas; two grandsons, Rob (wife, Carrie) Tharp of Rigby, Idaho, and Matt Tharp of Salt Lake City; two great-granddaughters; Katelynn and Alyssa Tharp of Rigby; and nephews and niece, Alan (Diann) Krebs, Carol (Frank) Wise, Dan (Karyl) Whitaker, Rex (Marilyn) Whitaker, and Philip Krebs. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Paul and Nellie Flinn; and two sisters, Alice Whitaker and Ellen Krebs.
