Helen L. Renner, 90, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Shelby County. She was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Bartholomew County to Guy R. and Georgia F. (Cottrill) Renner, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Neldon B. and Edward "Bud" Renner. She served with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. She was a member of Jollity United Methodist Church and Franklin Order of the Eastern Star No. 439. She retired in 1980 after 33 years as a surgical nurse at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. The Rev. Bucky Jordan will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. in Edinburgh. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
