Roy L. Cook Edinburgh, died at 5:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Cook retired in 1994 after 30 years employment at Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis. After retirement he and his wife retired to Florida for 12 years, then returned to Indiana. The funeral will at 2 p.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, Inc. 2626 E. 17th Street, Columbus, In, 47201 or the donor’s choice of charities. Mr. Cook was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Beech Grove, the son of Roy Wilson and Frances Marie Corbett Cook. He married Mariellen Baker Aug. 10, 1963. She survives. Survivors include a son, Brian Cook of Indianapolis; a daughter, Tammy Cartwright of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Holly Longston and Kelly and Jamie Cartwright and great-grandsons, Ayden and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; Douglas Allen Cook; and grandparents, Millard and Elizabeth Cook and Charles and Lena Corbett.
