Kenneth D. Bensheimer B-O-29-4

Kenneth D. Bensheimer, 78, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his son's home in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin. He was born Oct. 21, 1930, to the late Phillip A. and Hazel A. (Roberts) Bensheimer. Survivors include two sons, Samuel D. Bensheimer and David M. (Lisa) Bensheimer, both of Franklin; four brothers, George Bensheimer and Robert Bensheimer, both of Franklin, Eugene Bensheimer of Indianapolis and Arthur Bensheimer of Florida; two sisters, Frances Johnson of Florida and Mary Ann Gray of Ohio; and three grandchildren, Michael, McKayla and Alexandra Bensheimer. He formerly was a member of Chapel Christian Church in Bud, the Masonic Lodge and Edinburgh Lions Club. He was a longtime farmer and retired truck driver for Sodrel Trucking. He also had been an agent for Western Southern Insurance Co. He enjoyed fishing and fixing old farm equipment. The Rev. Brenda Bensheimer will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Edinburgh American Legion Post 233 will conduct military graveside rites at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
