Margie Wooten, 76, of Edinburgh, died at 4:33 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Mrs. Wooten was a homemaker and attended Edinburgh Who So Ever Will Community Church. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wooten was born May 19, 1933 in Jamestown, Ky., the daughter of Lilburn and Ethel Williams Fitch. She married Bulen Wooten May 21, 1954. Survivors include sons, Ed Wooten of Columbus and Tom Wooten of Harrodsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Wanda Wooten of Columbus; sisters, Annie Wade of Edinburgh and Wanda Chandler of Edinburgh; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Dec. 15, 2004; brothers, Willie Lee and Robert Fitch and sisters, Kathrine Bartron and Dorothy Wooten.
