Leon Cravens, 75, of Edinburgh, died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at his home. Mr. Cravens retired in 2000 after 45 years of service with Arvin Industries in Columbus. He then was employed by the Town of Edinburgh, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Whosoever Will Community Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, running his hunting dogs, hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Whosoever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be at the church from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Born in Casey County, Ky., June 15, 1937, Mr. Cravens was the son of Tom Cravens and Emmer (Henson) Cravens. He married Mildred (Vaught) Cravens Dec. 26, 1957. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Jeff (Lori) Cravens of Columbus; a brother, Lafon Cravens of Liberty, KY; a sister, Eula Durham of Liberty, KY; and grandchildren, Brandon Cravens, Presto Case and Cole Cravens. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clevo W. Cravens.
