Cathy D. Griggs, 58, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at her residence in Bargersville. Survivors include four children, Jason Griggs of North Carolina, Chris (Nikki) Griggs of Greenwood, Justin (Hannah) Griggs of Bargersville and Mike (Amy) Griggs of Gastonia, N.C.; and nine grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Vannie L. Griggs Jr.; and her parents, Hubert Martin and Mary Bell Thompson. A graveside service took place Wednesday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
