Duane Terry, 60 of Columbus, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1958 in Franklin. He was the son of James Albert Terry and Esther Bernice (Davis) McCreery. He married Marsha (Simpson) Terry October 5, 1985. He is survived by his wife; son, Chase (Laura) Simpson, daughters, Brittany (Bryan) Tracy and Sarah Terry, all of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Tristen Terry and Temperance Tracy; and sisters, Mary Jo (David) Burton and Denise Bowles of Edinburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Douglas Terry and sister, Cheryl Lynn Davis. He was a member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge No. 100. He was an independent contractor for United Van Lines for 27 years. He currently owned and operated Cliff’s Bar and Grill in Edinburgh. He enjoyed playing golf, camping, and riding his motorcycle. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, by the Revs. Lewis Burton and Ralph Foster. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Inc., 3331 Mamaroneck Ave. No. 492, White Plains, NY 10605. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
