Madonna Rose Burton, 71 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away April 29, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, In-Patient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. She was born October 22, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana. She was the daughter of Carl “Boots” and Mable (Wyatt) Parker. She married Kenneth Burton on June 20, 1969 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2007. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Amy) Burton of New Washington, Indiana and Jason (Angela) Burton of Franklin, Indiana, six grandchildren, brothers, Charlie (Tammy) Parker of Hope, Indiana, David Parker of Hope, Indiana, Greg Parker of Columbus, Indiana, and Richard (Alta) Parker of West Port, Indiana, and sister, Patty Olmstead of New Burn, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Madonna retired from Saps-Dolly Madison after 40 plus years. She was a breast cancer survivor. She was dedicated to her family, loved animals, and was an avid reader, especially books written by Stephen King. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 by Reverend Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
