Shirley M. Shultz, 78, of Edinburgh, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Shultz was a homemaker and former secretary for Bartholomew County Extension Office. She also worked for RCA in Bloomington, was a school bus driver in Brown County and helped with family farming. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church, had been a 4-H leader in Brown County and a Sunday school teacher at Beck's Grove Christian Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. John Sichting officiating. Calling will be Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to New Hope Christian Church or the American Diabetes Association. Born in Sedalia, Mo., July 24, 1933, Mrs. Shultz was the daughter of Edward O. and Amelia Wint Stuckey. She is survived by daughters, Juanita Belser and Rhonda (Gary) Hornung. both of Edinburgh, and Regina (John) King of Elizabethtown; a brother, Roy (Fran) Stuckey of Navaree, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles A. Shultz; a sister, Margie Reeves; and a brother, Robert Stuckey.
