Neal D. Koons Badger-B-63-3

Neal D. Koons, 67, of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN.  He was born July 2, 1952 in Marion, IN to Charles Albert Koons and Pauline Shultz (Anderson) Cazzell.  He married Donna J. (McGaha) Koons on December 28, 1972 in Edinburgh, IN, she survives. 

Neal attended Stevens Collins School #67 and was a 1970 graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis, IN and attended International Bible College in San Antonio, TX and Trade School for Drafting.  He had been a wall panel engineer for Builders First Source for 16 years and previously for Davidson Industries in Southport and Franklin, IN for 25 years.  He attended Southland Community Church in Greenwood, IN and was a former member of Parc-Way Assembly of God for 15 years.  He enjoyed bird watching, shopping and especially furniture shopping. 

Survivors include his wife Donna J. (McGaha) Koons of Greenwood, IN; his son Matthew Brandon Koons and his wife Audra of New Lexington, OH; three grandchildren; brothers Dale Koons and his wife Laura of Indianapolis, IN, Paul Koons and his wife Ranae of Greeley, CO; stepbrothers Jerry Cazzell and his wife Patty of Sebring, FL, Dan Cazzell and his wife Beverly of Indianapolis, IN and Timothy Cazzell of Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted by Pastor Steve Schellin on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.  Friends may call Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, IN
