Kay Whitlock, 71, of Edinburgh, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was born March 18, 1941, in Pittsburgh, to the late William F. and Regina (Waddell) Greenberg. She married Larry Whitlock on Jan. 27, 1962. He survives. Other survivors include four children, Dean Whitlock of Fort Wayne, Dane (Jolinda Dodd) Whitlock of Columbus, Tracy (Rick) Swift of Indianapolis and Kimberly (Mike) Criss of New Palestine; seven grandchildren, Christopher Swift, Matthew Whitlock, Christopher Pierce, Adam Swift, Audrey Whitlock, Marcus Swift and Jarod Criss; and three siblings, Jack (Jan) Greenberg of McMurray, Pa., Regina (Tim) Peoples of Florida and Roberta (Pat) Nolan of Greensburg, Pa. She was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Greenberg. She graduated from St. Joseph Nursing School in Pittsburgh in 1961. She was a member of Edinburgh Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary No. 233. She retired in 1997 from St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, where she worked in open heart recovery. Formerly, she was a unit manager in coronary care at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was the past president of the parish council of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was an avid reader. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 100 Keeley St., Edinburgh, with the Rev. Paul Shikany officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh.
