Vonda A. Dunn, 90, of Columbus, died at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Franklin United Methodist Community. Vonda was born February 18, 1922, in Johnson County, to the late George A. and Golda E. Roberts Dunn. He owned and operated Vonda Dunn Asphalt Paving Company and was a member of Bethel Holiness Church. Vonda proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed farming, growing fruit, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday at Bethel Holiness Church with Rev. Nathan Shockley and Rev. Robert Thompson officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh with military honors conducted by the Indiana Army Reserve National Guard Honor Guard and Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard. "Bud" (Shirley) Dunn of Edinburgh and Marcus (Shirley) Dunn of Brown County; sisters, Jean Castle of Florida, Doris Ferguson of Kokomo and Frances (Clifford) Emmons; stepdaughters, Rhonda Ann Dunn of Brown County and Robin Dunn of Edinburgh; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
