Lenard W. McKnight, 69, of Edinburgh, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. He was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Chicago to the late Robert E. and Betty R. (Scifres) McKnight. He married Alexa J. (DeMoss) McKnight on June 5, 1965. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Brigette L. McKnight-Cameron of Franklin, Marcea J. Folks of Trafalgar and Billie J. Park of Edinburgh; siblings, Janet L. Kelley and Maggie McKnight, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Carol J. McKnight of Chandler, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge No. 100. He retired in 2005 after 41 years of service from Meyercord Co. in Chicago. He was a District 7 supervisor, installing and repairing cigarette tax machines. He enjoyed woodworking and genealogy. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. The Rev. Lewis Burton will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
