Alexa Jane McKnight

Alexa Jane (DeMoss) McKnight has “Left the Building".  She passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 17, 2022.  Alexa could keep people rolling in laughter because she could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances.  Her hobbies included playing with her dog, doll collecting and dancing to Elvis music.

Alexa was, in her own words, a home-grown performer when not working as a bank vice president.  She loved to make people smile whether she was performing as Tina Turner, Paul Stanley from KISS, or her main man, Elvis Presley.  She could put on quite a show.  Her “Big Wheels Keep on Turning” in our hearts forever and always.

Alexa had a passionate love affair with ice cream, chicken fajitas, and anything dipped in chocolate. She was a member of the Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary Post 233.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenard McKnight, brother, John DeMoss and parents Grover and Beulah DeMoss.  She is survived by her daughters Brigette McKnight, Marcea (Kim) Folks and Billie (Jeff) Park, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her puppy dog, Priscilla.

A Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Eskew Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana at 3:30 pm.  Calling hours will be from 12:30 until the time of service.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
