Mayjane Ellis Morrison

Mayjane Ellis Morrison, 72, of Columbus, passed away February 21, 2022 in Indianapolis.
Mayjane was born May 31, 1949 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Farwell K. and Burhl Connor Ellis. She married Raymond R. Morrison Jr. on February 19, 1971.
Mayjane enjoyed playing cards, as well as doing anything outdoors, including swimming and fishing. She loved her cats as well as her dog “Sweetie”. Most of all, Mayjane loved spending time with her family. She was looking forward to the upcoming birth of another great-grandson.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Raymond; her children Cathy Mejean of Norman, Indiana, Lucinda Valentine of Columbus, and Jarrod Morrison of Columbus; grandchildren Brittany (Chris) Bay, Zachary (Bri) Cockerham, Marissa (Josh) Gott, David Valentine, and Austin Morrison; great-grandchildren Lynlee, Travis, Elijah, Emmie; as well as a brother David (Marty) Ellis of Florence, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a granddaughter Margaret Valentine.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 26, 2022 at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday February 25, 2022, and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
