Susan L. Blackledge M-A-71-1

Susan Lynn Blackledge, 55, passed away at Community North Heart and Vascular Hospital on March 16, 2023. She was a longtime resident of Indianapolis.

Susan was born on June 21, 1967 to William “Bill” and Louise (Huddle) Voos. She married Fred Blackledge on June 18, 2005. He lovingly survives.

Other survivors include her daughter, Michelle; step-children, Rex Blackledge, Crystal Blackledge, Gary Blackledge, and Scott Blackledge; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Voos and Nancy Givens (Paul); and nephews, Jack Givens and Luke Givens. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Bill and Louise.

Susan graduated from Center Grove and went on to take accounting classes at Central Nine. She worked for the accounting department at America Art and Clay, and previously for Cummins.

Susan loved country music and designing art. She enjoyed watching movies and reading Christian books. Susan had a love for all things wolves. She and her husband, Fred, collected wolf items.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
