Indianapolis. She was born May 19, 1956 in Franklin, Indiana. She was the daughter of Francis X. and Betty (Thurston) Cecil. She married Vernon Grider on January 6, 1989, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Shayna Wheeler of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandson, Liam Kays of Edinburgh, Indiana, brother, Francis (Tammy) Cecil, II of Edinburgh, Indiana, sisters, Lucy Shewmake of Franklin, Indiana and Peggy Cecil of Whiteland, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kevin Cecil, sister, Cindi Lawson, brother-in-law, Randy Jan M. Grider, 68, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away May 7, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Lawson, and niece, Erin Shewmake. Jan enjoyed being a Grammy, jig-saw puzzles, and reading. A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
