Evelyn Mae Pence, 94 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away June 23, 2025, at Morning Point Franklin, Indiana. She was born December 7, 1930, in Fairland, Indiana. She was the daughter of Raymond and Thelma (Campbell) Yarling. She married James Robert “Bob” Pence on August 28, 1949, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Denise June (Wendell) Amick of Edinburgh, Indiana, granddaughter, Christan Rodenhuis (Devin) Shaw of Edinburgh, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Charlotte Shaw, Sienna Shaw, Gavin Shaw, and Garrett Shaw, and brother, Edwin Yarling of Shelby County, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Ray Pence, and daughter, Cathy Lynn Pence. Evelyn was a 1949 graduate from Moral High School in Shelby County, Indiana. She was a member of the Edinburgh Methodist Church, Edinburgh Lions Club, life member of Beta Sigma Phi, 1967-1968 past matron of the Edinburgh order of Eastern Star, past District Deputy #6 from 1969-1970, affiliated member of Franklin Chapter order Eastern Star #439 and a charter member of Thrifty 30 Home Economics Club. Evelyn and Bob owned the Edinburgh Flower Shop for 67 years. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Patrick Glasser at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
