Gilbert Goldsmith, 77 of Franklin, Indiana, passed away September 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 17, 1947, in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was the son of Elmo and Velma (Rooks) Goldsmith. He was married to Barbara (Haste) Goldsmith for 40 years and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Tisha (Christopher) McDonald, Jeffrey (Connie) Goldsmith, Janet (Carson) Cooper, and Shannon (Kelly) Aldridge, grandchildren, Tonya Ford, Tashina Garrett, Jessica Rice, Lindsey Goldsmith, Rebecca Riffey, Jacob Goldsmith, Dustin Harmon, Cierra Harmon, Thomas Hatcher, Calvin Sears, Dakota Martin, Jeffrey Goldsmith Jr, Bryant Martin, Christopher Goldsmith, Chelsea Porter, Carley Deaver, Cory Cooper, Bryson Cooper, and Elizabeth Cooper, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and sisters, Nancy (Bruce) Campbell, Jeanie Estes, and Betty (Darrell) Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Roy Goldsmith, daughter, Celesta Harmon, grandsons, Ronald Hatcher II and Michael Olechnicki, and 4 brothers. Gilbert was a member of Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Clifford, Indiana. He retired after 31 years of service at Leer Corporation in Edinburgh, Indiana. He enjoyed attending church, fishing, hunting, gardening, and mushroom hunting. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Eli Johnson at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. Calling will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.
