Bonnie E. Sharp, 77, a resident of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Edinburgh, passed from this life at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. Born March 22, 1948, in Indianapolis, Bonnie was the cherished daughter of the late Harold C. and Mable L. Compton Beier. On June 10, 1977, Bonnie married the love of her life, Wallace A. Sharp, who preceded her in death on October 3, 2004. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Though Walace passed away, the love they shared continued to be a guiding light in Bonnie's life. Bonnie is survived by her stepson, Russe l "Rusty" Sharp; nephew, Keith Beier; niece, Melissa Beier; as we l as several of Wal lace's nieces and nephews. Bonnie will also be remembered by her roommates, Pam Franks and Pam Foley; her caregivers, Tara Dixon, Becky Vaughn, Teresa Farmer, Carmen Begley, Bev Sublett, Dina Vaughn, Carla Franks, Cora Ritchie, Dani Henry, Shelie Brummett and other ResCare staff members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Ronald E., James Richard, and Donald Allen Beier. Throughout her life, Bonnie embraced the role of a homemaker with grace and joy. Her early years were marked by active involvement in the Jonesville Christian Church, where she cultivated her faith and community spirit. Later, she attended Rush Branch Church in Butlerville and most recently found spiritual solace at the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene. Bonnie's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She had a passion for doing crafts, which a lowed her to express her creativity and share her talents with those she loved. Shopping was more than a pastime for Bonnie; it was an opportunity to connect with friends, find treasures, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Her enthusiasm for attending yard sales was well-known, as she delighted in the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovering hidden gems. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Ron Bridgewater will officiate. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
