Donna V. Oberting,92, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family October 30, 2025. She was born March 30, 1933, in Indianapolis to the late Fred and Juanita (Karch) Heyer Monschein. Donna was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. She married Paul R. Oberting September 18, 1953, and he preceded her in death April 5, 1974. She was a private art teacher for over 50 years organizing yearly art shows for her students. Donna was a friend to all, taking in strays whether they were animals or humans. She loved the 23rd Psalm and recited it often. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 650 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, IN. Donna is survived by her loving children, Kimbra Nathan (Richard), Mark E. Oberting (Lisa), Charlie Oberting and Sun-nita Tardy (Greg); sister, Mary Scahill (Chuck); and grandchildren, Katie, Nicole, Ashley, Kristi, Henry and Grace.
