Edinburgh Police Department Extending Application Dates
The Edinburgh Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the future position of full time Police Officer. Applicants must be a US Citizen, at least 21 years of age or less than 40 years of age. Or you can be a veteran with 20 years of armed forces service with a maximum age of 40 years and 6 months at the time of appointment, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License and have no felony or misdemeanor convictions. Lateral applicants are also encouraged to apply; further information can be provided if needed.
Selected applicants for the Police Officer position must be able to pass a Physical Agility test, pass written testing, pass a background investigation and graduate from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Laterals in good standing with ILEA encouraged to apply.

• Starting salary at $55,000 with raise after 1ST year. Salary of $60,000 after 1ST year plus Longevity pay.
• Up to date equipment such as, in-car radar, SUV patrol vehicles, outer carrier vest, Department issued red dot pistols, Department issued rifles, Ballistic Patrol Shields,
