Joyce A. Baxter, 69, of Edinburgh, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 8, 1942, in Edinburgh, to James E. Streeval and Clara M. (Burton) Streeval. She married Paul E. Baxter on Feb. 19, 1972; he preceded her in death June 10, 1995. She is survived by two daughters, Shelly R. Baxter and Kelli J. (Robbie) Clawson, both of Edinburgh; a sister, June (Cleon) Gharst of Nineveh; and three grandchildren, Brooke L. Baxter, Blake E. Baxter and Bria J. Clawson. She also was preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Baxter. She graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1960. She was a member of Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene. She retired in 2011 after 42 years of service with Centra Credit Union in Columbus. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was an Indiana University basketball fan. A funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene, 716 S. Eisenhower Drive, with the Revs. Doug Wright and Lewis Burton officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
